“DID JA KNOW ON THE COMSTOCK / 1930-1960”
Prof. E.P. Stinkwater and the V.C. Relic’s return to Piper’s Opera House with a show that has gone through two of at least four significant eras of Comstock history from 1859 through today,
They have spent a lot of time on the 1859 to 1890’s period of time with a few sprinkles into the 1900 to 1930 period.
Now it’s time to continue our look at the 1930s to 1960s with focus on the businesses, the business owners, and the movers and shakers of that era to seriously market and modernize the Comstock. A lot of chit, a good helping of chat, and a few blarney shots, with the assistance of the chair section we will have fun telling stories of the time and the people. How the Comstock got to mining the pockets of those strolling along the boardwalk and out of the depths of the mines.

Joe’s family moved to VC in 1958. They bought a building and opened a museum dedicated to the history of life on the Comstock. He grew up amidst the museum and became infatuated with the history of the Comstock and began collecting old photos of the area back in the day.

Ron is a well-known local aged artifact of the Comstock. Raised here, lots of relatives dating well into the lower 1800’s and a head full of Comstock knowledge, recollections. stories and other associated Comstock BS.
