Postponed – Truckee Historical Revue
September 5, 2021

Unfortunately this show has been postponed until September 4, 2022. For questions, please contact the Truckee Tahoe Community Chorus.
The Truckee Historical Revue traces the history of Truckee and surrounding areas from Native American days to the 1960 Olympics with song, stories and a video display. It recounts truths about the Gold Rush, Silver Boom, Railroad Building, Boca Beer, Chinese and Irish immigrants, and Legends including the Donner Party.
Virginia City and Truckee are linked in history! Truckee shipped ice harvested from its ponds to cool the miners in Virginia City. Truckee timber was used to support mines in the Comstock Lode and was laid along the Virginia and Truckee Railroad line.
Revue stories and music were composed by David Wendell Nelson, with additional songs by Richard Blair, who will debut his new song “Ode to Virginia City”. McAvoy Layne will narrate the show as Mark Twain. Performers include Truckee Tahoe Community Chorus, barbershop group OK Chorale, guest singers Owen Lee and Andy Zeng, and live local musicians, all in period attire. Susan K Horst will conduct the performers.
Two shows will be presented at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
Limited Reserve Seating $45. General Seating $30.
